work break in Yellowstone National Park

So, after all the excess work with disposing of tree branches, we took a break to the Yellowstone for a day. This first blog is going to show some of the scenery we ran into on the trip; with the next showing some animals we ran across!! In this blog the two mountain scenes are illustrating how snowy it is yet in the mountains - considering that it is the third month of June. Also note how green the hillsides are this year!! All of Wyoming has remained green way into the hot summer months; unlike the usual few weeks in the spring. The rock cliff in one photo is an outcrop above the Yellowstone River that is quite fascinating. And the river shot is of the overflowing Yellowstone River this year - we've had a very wet snow melt this spring.

  1. Wow some great photos! Nice you got a break from work for at least a little while. I caught my first fish in Yellowstone the year Anne was born....
